Cannonsburg is a combination fire department located in Boyd County KY.   We have both full-time employees and paid on-call employees.  We respond to  fire, EMS, HAZMAT, motor vehicle accidents,  as well as public assistance requests.  Our response area demographics include major manufacturing facilities, high-value commercial sites such as large shopping centers,  several chain hotels, schools,  a large day-care center, and a major interstate highway.  Residential concerns in our district include several high end subdivisions as well as some more rural areas.  We respond to approximately 500 calls a year in an area that is growing at a rapid pace. 

We have an extremely dedicated and professional workforce, led by Chief Richard Cyrus, who are highly trained and independently certified in areas such as fire suppression, vehicle extrication, emergency medical care, and tactical rope rescue.   If you have any interest in the fire/EMS field  we are usually always accepting applicants for probationary firefighters.  Use the online Membership Application form at the left to apply.
